JCIOUpdater, I/O Connection Module Firmware Updater updates firmware of the I/O Connection Module with PC. Refer to the "VERSION HISTORY" of the Users Manual for I/O Connection Module for detailed information.

Preparations
• PC Configurator Cable for connecting between PC and JC-IO (model: COP-US or MCN-CON)
• PC (JCIOUpdater and JCIOCFG can be installed and PC Configurator Cable is usable.
• PC Configurator Software (model: JCIOCFG)
   Download the latest version from our "Software Download & Upgrade" web site.
• I/O Connection Module Users Manual (EM-9044-B)

<How to confirm the firmware version of JC-IO? >
Connect the PC installed JCIOCFG and the JC-IO with COP-US or MCN-CON. Start up the JCIOCFG to confirm. Refer to the Users Manual for I/O Connection Module for detailed information.

How to update the JC-IO
During updating if the power of the JC-IO or the PC is interrupted, the JC-IO may not operate normally and it may not be possible to update again. Update with stable power supply.

<Update procedure>
1. Download and uncompress
Press DOWNLOAD button for the ZIP archive file (JCIOUpdater_en_10100.zip) and save the archive on the any folder you like. Use an uncompressing tool to expand the downloaded archive. Unzipped file is "JCIOUpdater_en_V1.1.exe".

2. Stop and reboot of JC-IO
Turn off the power for JC-IO. Remove the I/O modules and cut off the communication connection.

3. Back up the settings
Start the JCIOCFG on the PC and read out and save the settings from JC-IO. ("As basic Setting" of the JCIOCFG is not able to save, take a note.) Refer to the Users Manual for I/O Connection Module for detailed information.
Basically, settings are taken over after updating. If settings are initialized after updating, write the saved settings to the JC-IO with latest JCIOCFG.

4. Update
Double-click the "JCIOUpdater_en_ V1.1.exe" file saved in the PC at step 1. (If the message "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" is displayed, choose "YES". After this step, follow the instruction displayed on the PC. At last the display shows firmware version. Reboot the JC-IO. The version after update will be successfully displayed to complete.

When updating from firmware version earlier than 3.0.x, update BIOS after firmware update. For the updating procedure of "BIOS update", refer to the "BIOS UPDATE" of the "I/O CONNECTION MODULE Operating Manual".
