Preparations
• PC Configurator Cable for connecting between PC and DL8 (model: COP-US or MCN-CON)
• PC (DL8Updater and DLCFG can be installed and PC Configurator Cable is usable.
• PC Configurator Software (model: DLCFG)

Connect the PC installed DLCFG and the DL8 with COP-US or MCN-CON. Start up the DLCFG to confirm. Refer to the Users Manual for Web-Enabled Remote Terminal Unit for detailed information.
How to update the DL8
During updating if the power of the DL8 or the PC is interrupted, the DL8 may not operate normally and it may not be possible to update again. Update with stable power supply.
<Update procedure>
1. Download and uncompress
Press DOWNLOAD button for the ZIP archive file (DL8Updater_EG_3324.zip) and save the archive on the any folder you like. Use an uncompressing tool to expand the downloaded archive. Unzipped file is "DL8Updater_EG._V3.3.exe".
2. Stop and reboot of DL8
Turn off the power for DL8. Remove the I/O modules and cut off the communication connection.
3. Back up the settings
Start the DLCFG on the PC and read out and save the settings from DL8. ("As basic Setting" of the DLCFG is not able to save, take a note.) Refer to the Users Manual for Web-Enabled Remote Terminal Unit for detailed information.
Basically, settings are taken over after updating. If settings are initialized after updating, write the saved settings to the DL8 with latest DLCFG.
4. Update
Double-click the "DL8Updater_EG._V3.3.exe" file saved in the PC at step 1.
(If the message "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" is displayed, choose "YES". After this step, follow the instruction displayed on the PC. At last the display shows firmware version. Reboot the DL8. The version after update will be successfully displayed to complete.
When updating from firmware version earlier than 3.0.x, update BIOS after firmware update.
