Collecting field data from test equipments
 

At a control room, we plan to collect field data provided by test equipment. Each test equipment is installed in each three (3) measuring locations. There is 10-point temperature measuring point (thermocouple) in each location.

We’d like to build a PC based data acquisition system. Below listed measuring conditions are required.

1. Need to be set the data recording start/stop status via trigger input.
2. Need to be created each recorded file for each measuring point.

Does M-System have any suitable device and software?

M-System recommends you to use the PC recorder module (Model: R1M-GH) and light version recorder software (Model: MSR128LS/LV).

Please place the R1M-GH to each 3-separated measuring location and then connect each other by twisted pair cable (RS485). Each R1M module accepts T/C sensor signal directly. Max 16-point T/C signal is acceptable by one (1) R1M-GH. Please connect the PC and one of the R1M-GH by RS232C serial cable. Please install the software MSR128LS/LV into the PC.

The MSR128LS/LV saves the data as CSV format file. Each data file (CSV) will be created per each group and one (1) group file can include max 12 channels data. As for data storing setting, you can specify it as “Remote trigger”. Each R1M-GH module has one (1) trigger input terminal and when the trigger input is contact ON, the specific group data, which is related to the trigger will be started recording. “Remote trigger” function enables you to make a data acquisition just for selected group.
