Protecting 24 Vdc Relay Drive Loop
 

We plan to install a surge protector on the relay output circuit from the host PLC. The load of this relay output is an electromagnetic valve. We have an experience that we installed M-System Surge Protector, model MDP-24-1 but available load current for the MDP-24-1 is up to 100 mA.

We are looking for a surge protector for the above usage with load current 0.5 A. Does M-System have a suitable one?

As for this model, max. output current is 1 A. The front monitor LED is turned on while the power is supplied. When the discharge element comes to the end of its operating life or failure, then the LED is turned off. We have two version of this model, the MDP-D24 for 24 Vdc line voltage use and the MDP-D12 for 12 Vdc line voltage use.
