The DL8 monitors the remaining quantity of materials required for making each seasoning. When the amount of materials remaining in storage tanks is low, the manager is notified by e-mail. This way orders can be placed with vendors with some leeway before the tanks run out of material.
The DL8’s Web browser screen can display remaining material quantity in the form of a trend graph, so that demand can also be forecast.
The DL8 acts as an FTP server, logging data of the remaining quantities in the raw material tanks and storing the data as CSV files in its SD card. The person in charge of the material procurement department can collect the data from a computer through in-house LAN.
